Migraines and Work, any advice?

I've started suffering with migraines and have had about 5 this month they have been so bad i have to miss work. Missing work makes me feel awful and guilty as I feel like my co-workers and boss think im slacking and skiving. My mother has changed and she's annoying me?

My parents are in their late 60's and moved into a senior's building about 3 years ago. My mom used to have a very active social life but I have noticed lately that all they do is socialize with the people in their building, and get involved in all the petty politics, etc. I also notice that my mom has gotten extremely bossy over the past few years. She bosses everyone around, including my dad and my hubby (who just tries to ignore it). She also tries to correct my parenting, even though my kids are pretty good. I think she figures she's being helpful, but she's also proud of the fact that she's outspoken. On the other hand, she's super sensitive and if she calls and I'm busy, she starts asking me what's wrong and apolgizes for bugging me. I don't know if she's lonely or going through something, but the way she is lately is getting on my nerves. She calls every day and if she can't reach me on my home phone, she calls my cell, calls me at work, etc. I have my own stress to deal with and while I love my parents, the way my mom is lately is starting to drive me nuts. I know if I tell her, even politely, to back off a bit with the clinginess and unsolicited advice, she'll take it to heart and get upset. I am the youngest and the only daughter, so maybe that's why she's like this. But I find the older she gets, the more she clings to me. Luckily, my husband and I are generally pretty easy going, so we usually don't act offended even if someone crosses the line. I just don't know what to do and I don't want to hurt her.

I checked out someone at my register and I charged the wrong price for a item and my boss came to me and told me if I didnt sign my paycheck over to them then I will go to jail for stealing is that legal for them to do that and to fire me. I tried to pay the difference and so did the customer.

I hate my internship, I don't know what to do?

So far I have been in this internship for a month. It’s not my co-workers nor is it my boss. I like them and these people are really friendly and helpful. They are real relaxed and chill people. I’m not going to quit it, I’m going to stick it out but here’s my issue. I really feel like this is not what I want to do in the future. My boss told me the only reason I was offered this internship was because of all the applicants I had the most programming experience (I am a computer science minor and decided to get those classes out the way first before working on my major). I am a Math major, I hate programming. This internship which I did not find out until last week is a software engineering internship. Once again I hate programming. I thought it was a programming analyst position which I mention on my resume which was what I was looking for. After being slapped with that discovery, I started researching on the company to see if there are any possible jobs I could do (if I was offered a job) that does not include programming(which there isn’t), I rather analyze, work with people, and review, just hate writing code. Don’t get me wrong, I am good at programming received good greats in my C++ courses, I just hate the stressed and headache that comes with it. I’m scared that I will be offer a full time position as a software developer, because my boss and co-workers love me. I’m scared to turn it down, and in this recession, turning down a job offer is idiotic. I have no idea what to do. Any advice???

How to deal with a hateful manager?

I have called the better business bureau and tried top find ways to make a complaint.... they all told me that since it doesn't have to do with race, religion, sexuality, or handicap there is nothing they can do.... Dad lost his job in the military?

Hi recently my father lost his job in the air force without so much as a warning. I haven't worked in over 6 years due to a major medical setback. I have worked in legal offices before but was never fired but was let go and my ex bosses probably wouldn't hire me again. I hate my internship, I don't know what to do?

So far I have been in this internship for a month. It’s not my co-workers nor is it my boss. I like them and these people are really friendly and helpful. They are real relaxed and chill people. I’m not going to quit it, I’m going to stick it out but here’s my issue. I really feel like this is not what I want to do in the future. My boss told me the only reason I was offered this internship was because of all the applicants I had the most programming experience (I am a computer science minor and decided to get those classes out the way first before working on my major). I am a Math major, I hate programming. This internship which I did not find out until last week is a software engineering internship. Once again I hate programming. I thought it was a programming analyst position which I mention on my resume which was what I was looking for. After being slapped with that discovery, I started researching on the company to see if there are any possible jobs I could do (if I was offered a job) that does not include programming(which there isn’t), I rather analyze, work with people, and review, just hate writing code. Don’t get me wrong, I am good at programming received good greats in my C++ courses, I just hate the stressed and headache that comes with it. I'm 14 and transgender and I wanted really bad to self-medicate myself and was very close to doing so but decided against it because of the HUGE risks involved. Should I send an apology letter to people I used to work for? I really did something horrible to them?

Back in 2007 I worked as a secretary for several doctors. During that time I became horribly dependent & addicted to a non-narcotic pain medication that my doctor kept prescribing to me. It was Ultram. Anyway, I had worked for many, many years for the same agency, but in a different city. When I transferred to this position in a different city I was making horrible mistakes, leaving the door unlocked, etc. I was out of my mind because of the drugs. The supervisor was, and is a very rude girl. When I first started working there, even before I started messing up, she would scream at me, and tell me stuff like, "Just because your new, I do not want you bothering me with questions. If you don't write down the directions, or instructions I give you, your **** out of luck!" She was a real b*tch. I think this made me even more messed up. Anyway, I ended up calling in a fake prescription from one of the doctors. Low & behold I got caught, because the pharmacy faxed back a refill request, and my boss got it. Instead of confronting me when she got it, she waited till the end of the day, then called the Dean, and they confronted me at the end of the day. I ended up quitting before they fired me. I was so upset, that I drove straight to a rehab, and checked myself in. It has been several years, but I feel I should send that doctor an apology. Frankly, I don't think my ex supervisor deserves one, because she was always very nasty to me, even in the beginning, before my erratic behavior began. She also talked the doctor into filing charges on me. I got in trouble with the law, which I deserved. My question is, should I write the doctor an apology?

I want to resign and i need some advice.?

I was hired by this small company to "clean up" the point of sale system ( Dac Easy) and to generate a profit and loss statement from said system, however due to a lot of tedious issues with the software that caused my system to crash the report couldn't be done. Wrongful Termination?

Out of the blue, my husband was so called layed off from his job on 6/21. On tuesday, we receive a letter from his employer of when his benefits will end. This letter also states that he was layed off or a RIF action is taken due to his postion is eliminated. I am still lost on this action because his work hours for the a few months now have been between 8-12 hours a day and working weekends. We were told by a former coworker that his previous employer is trying to fill the postion with a temp. Could this be a legimate suit against the employer? His former boss could not gave a reason what so ever for the lay off.

I recently resigned from a job which I had keys for. I am writing a story where the main characters are twins, one names Eva (hopefully pronounced in Spanish like ehh-vah). What should her sisters name be? Morality is a self-decision. Free will. All dominant religious teachings and the books associated are simply reference guidelines to self-help and direction. Life is a balance amongst all. We are too weak-minded to pull the trigger, literally, on serial killers because we can't square the act of taking a life. Odd how we would feel guilty about taking such a life, but don't feel the guilt over the new victims when serial killers are released or escape to go on and kill again. To allow a serial killer to live is to put everyone's life in danger - the death penalty is necessary.

A co-worker lied to get food stamps?

How Can I Deal With A Super Annoying Co-Worker?

Hi. I work at a small retail business here in the San Francisco Bay Area. It's a great job and very fun. I've gotten to know most of the neighborhood and the people are very nice. There's only one problem. I have a very annoying co-worker. The guy is 55 years old. He was a very nice guy when I met him, but now he has turned into a complete idiot. The guy repeatedly makes annoying comments and always tries to do less work (So I have to do more). I try to stay as far as possible from him, but he always comes around and starts telling me what to do. Sometimes he'll yell at me, which really makes me mad. My head starts to spin sometimes. That's how mad he makes me. I've talked to the owner and he told me to stay away from him and handle the problem on our own since its between us. He repeatedly tells me to do his work. Most of the times I do it, but the guy can never be happy. He always brags about how he's the best and always tries to criticize me. I have asked him (super nicely) to stop annoying me. He doesn't stop. I've yelled at him to stop annoying me. The guy STILL doesn't stop. I've been working with him for 6 years now. I've learned the best way to prevent an argument is just, simply ignore him. But sometimes ignoring him won't work because he'll be yelling at me and I just can't handle it and I'll explode and tell him to leave me alone, shut up, or do his work. I have never called that man a bad word. In fact, I call him uncle to respect him. But he takes advantage of my respect and starts acting like he's the boss and wants me to do his work. I don't want to quit this job because I like doing it and it's very fun, so that is not a choice for me. I just wanted some ideas on how to deal with this guy. Thanks.

It very plainly says that being gay is an abomination (ok many people still believe this) but it also explicitly condones murder, rape and slavery. One verse even says that a man without testicles or who has had them crushed cannot be granted entrance into heaven? Please take some time to think about objective morality and by all means look up the verses (I'm sorry I can't quote them for you but i have read them) before you comment.

Unemployment Question?!?

So here is the story. I have an older sister who has been battling depression for a long time. I got a phone call to get the hospital back in Sept 2010 to get to the hospital ASAP that my sister hurt herself. I was out of the office on my lunch break. I immediately headed there. What was I suppose to do? I had an emergency. So while at the hospital I emailed my temp agency that I had a family emergency. The email failed to send because of a wrong email address so I forwarded the email to the company boss that the temp agency had me working for immediately that same day. So I thought all was well because they didn't call or email me back yelling. Well the next day I sent another email to DHL the company I was working for through the temp agency asking for a few days off because I was overwhelmed with what was going on & needed to be with family. That was 9/22 I sent the second email. Needless to say they called me back & fired me. So they told unemployment I had quit on 9/22 but I sent unemployment office both emails with the date, time, subject, & body of the email.What does everyone think? Will I have to keep fighting or will Unemployment see that I was fired unjustly & the company lied? I can't believe the company would lie like that to avoid paying me unemployment. I am just now filing too because I had no idea I could get unemployment for being fired. A friend actually told me to file! So that's why I am just now filing for it incase that makes a difference. Suspected mold in rental unit?

My family & I recently moved 100 miles into a rental house. The owner is still trying to sell the house but is renting it through a property management company in the mean time. When we looked at the house we were aware there was a leak in one of the rooms & we were told it was to be fixed shortly. Since moving in there has been an exceptional amount of rain in our area. We have lived here for over a month now & nothing has been done to repair the roof. The realtor brought a contractor over to look at it, but that was well over 2 weeks ago. We have heard from several people that this house has been for sale for over 2 years and the current owner has received estimates from every contracting company in town, literally EVERY one(it's a town with a population of less than 20,000). My husband works for one of them & his boss said when he did the estimate for the owner he didn't want to pay for anything. He got the impression he was only getting estimates to make it seem like he was going to fix it, but really just wants to sell it as is. As a result of all the rain there now appears to be black mold growing on the exposed insulation in the room with th leaking roof. My 3 year old son constantly has a runny nose ans we both constantly seem to have what feels like pink-eye. I also experience frequent headaches. These are not problems we experienced before living in this house. I'm concerned for our health, but since moving I have lost my job so we don't have money to just move again. What are my steps here an who do I need to contact, the property management or the realtor? I don't have a number for the owner himself.

Okay, here is my situation. I have worked at my current job for the past two years, its one of our local grocery stores (that will remain nameless). I'm also a college student, and I know this is just a silly little job to earn some extra cash, but this just really upsets me. We get to one of her final items, and it happens to an alcoholic drink (the fruity ones in packets that you freeze into a slushy), and as the cashier passed it along to me, she casually asked me if I had ever tried them. I simply said "I don't like them", bagged them, placed them into the lady's cart and went on. I said nothing else. Well, apparently the lady didn't like me voicing my opinion about it, and went on Facebook (or twitter) and posted about how she didn't appreciate one of (insert my stores name)'s employees saying how "nasty" something she bought was. And of course since my upper level boss has nothing better to do than play on Facebook all day long, he saw the message and called me to his office. Again, he has nothing better to do than look on the video cameras and see exactly which employee the lady was talking about. After a short discussion, he decides to write me up, saying if it happens again, I'm fired. So, recap.. I'm in trouble because I don't like a product and some crazy lady with nothing better to do puts it up on Facebook.
