How can the federal government instill family values?

It's the Republicans,they love to legislate morality,this is a country with freedom,freedom to live as we please,as long as we don't violate any law or infringe on the rights of others.But when there's no will to work on more important issues they always try to focus on "family values" Believe me,that's just a smoke screen.
